What is the point of vacation?
The point of vacation is to do nothing or to do something, or to do whatever it is that you want. Some people sit on a beach and do absolutely nothing. Others wander through museums or go on extravagant travels to learn as much as they can about something they care about. Vacation is about a brief period of time that allows a person to do exactly what they want to do.

What is the point of vacation?
There are two different types of vacation:
1) One to recharge the batteries. This one usually involves beaches or hikes.
2) One to expand your horizons. This one is often stressful and does not recharge your batteries, but exposes you to new cultures and ideas that help you grow.

What is the point of vacation?
People have a lot of opinions about what vacation is. "Vacation" basically means being away, but wherever you go, there you are! I don't have any need to "get away", I am interested in being part of something new and different. People often engage in unsustainable (for them) activities for a vacation, but the best thing for me is when the activity is sustainable or else clearly a campaign of some sort and over when it's over.

To give you the opportunity to not do what you "have to do", but what you "want to do" and don't get time for in the normal day to day. For me, it is not about relaxing, I can do that when I'm 80. I'd much rather be out exploring the world and taking in more experiences. That is what fills my soul.

What is the point of vacation?
To me, vacations are like procrastination. I take them whenever I need to let my mind and body reset. Usually I only need a break if I'm stressed, or confused about an issue. Vacations can inspire ideas, ignite a fainting passion about my work, and even give me a new perspective on a problem I'm working on. My mind is never off work, but a change of scenery helps me look at things in a new way. I use vacations to stay healthy, mind and body.
